In the first match of this year's T20 World Cup, Bangladesh lost to Scotland by 7 runs but won their second match by 26 runs against Oman.  If Bangladesh wins against Papua New Guinea in the third match of Bangladesh today, playing in the Super-12 round of this year's T20 World Cup will be very much assured for Bangladesh.  However, Bangladesh will have to rely on the result of the second match of the day, Oman vs Scotland.  From that point of view, today's two matches are important for the Bangladeshi fans.

Bangladesh has never faced Papua New Guinea in any cricket format before.  In terms of experience, Bangladesh team will definitely be ahead in this match.  On the other hand, Papua New Guinea lost their first two matches in the group stage.

This year's World Cup matches are being broadcast live on various online platforms in addition to television channels.  Today's match between Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea will also be broadcast live on various Bangladeshi TV channels as well as on various online platforms.  See T20 World Cup 2021: Full schedule of Bangladesh team's game
