Dua Lipa concert in Toronto has had unintended consequences, thanks to some fans throwing fireworks inside the venue, setting off lights and injuring some fans.
The singer took the stage at the Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night as a series of fireworks were released from the floor seats. In the video from the show, you can see multiple explosions of different colors as Dua and the dancers perform.
A representative for the Toronto Police Service told that they received a call to the arena just before midnight about fireworks at the end of the show.
We're told at least three people suffered minor injuries, but luckily, no one required hospitalization. Exact details of the injuries were not clear. There was also no damage to the arena, a lucky occurrence given the potential for fire.
At this time, police are working with security staff at the Scotiabank Arena to review surveillance footage to determine how the fireworks were brought in and who was responsible for setting them off.
Dua has not yet commented on the incident.
