Vios 2023 |
The current Toyota Vios has been with us for quite some time now. In fact, it's almost a decade old at this point, as the Vios that Toyota currently sells only got a major facelift in 2018 and isn't a brand new car. That's all set to change with the 2023 Toyota Vios, as it will be the first time the country's best-selling car will undergo a complete model change. Vios 2023 Philippines, Malaysia.
Already teased by Toyota Motor Thailand, the all-new Vios (called the Yaris Active in their home country) is set to make its global debut on August 9. The all-new model is a radical departure in terms of design, as the teaser shows a subcompact sedan that comes with a fastback silhouette instead of a traditional three-box design. Some of the exterior highlights we can see on the upcoming Vios are a set of full LED lights, including rear-sweeping LED turn signals, along with a more aggressive front face.
Inside, the 2023 Toyota Vios is a radical departure as the dashboard seems to be blessed with a generous serving of soft-touch materials. The model being teased also has a red leather interior, which is quite unusual in the subcompact sedan segment. The seats even feature quilted stitching, along with an 8-inch infotainment system shared with the Raize and Veloz.
The all-new Vios will likely move to the new Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) that underpins the Raize and Veloz, though we expect its powertrain to remain unchanged. Hence, expect a 1.5-litre and a 1.3-litre to be fitted under the hood of the new Vios.
